The concept doesn't work when you mix up hangers, however.
You heard us right – Brazilian retailer C&A has started an online campaign that connects the real world with Facebook (and clothes hangers!). By developing a Facebook app, called FashionLike, the company directs users to its website where they can ‘like’ garments. These results are updated directly from the website–so the clothes hangers are updated in real-time.
Although we’ve seen many innovative methods employed to bridge the gap between Facebook and the real world, this takes the cake. The idea of crowdsourcing fashion choices is a relatively innovative one, especially on a retail level – although it might be a while before we see this kind of implementation topped.
Guppie Kids (Bit Social Media) is doing a great job with helping me relaunch Guppie Kids. All brands can have a voice no matter how Big or how small through social media. You have given me much insight to building the Guppie Brand through social media. I could not do this without you, and you have been so generous with your time. Thank you for taking ideas and help put them into action! Deb Rohn - Owner - Cadillac - MI
