Techzone360 has a great article on the interest small businesses are showing in social media:
“Among the 406 small businesses in the U.S. recently polled … 40 percent said they’re very likely to adopt the use of social media tools such as Facebook and Twitter. Another 30 percent said they’re somewhat likely. But 45 percent of those eyeing social media are a bit fuzzy on exactly how they think it will benefit the business.
Besides polling businesses purely on interest in social media marketing, some insight was given on what social networking sites were most often used:
“Which social media tools are small businesses using? Facebook was at the head of the list, followed closely by LinkedIn. Facebook Events, the feature that lets firms promote upcoming events, was third. Other tools cited included blogs, ads on social media sites, Twitter, and finally MySpace.
