Is it the prize? Is it the competition? Bragging rights?
The prize!? …we knew it…
It seems these days everyone wants something for free from their favorite online hangouts. Social media is no exception. With extreme couponing on one end and pricey Facebook fan giveaways on the other – they are hard to miss while browsing the web today.
We’re currently running a promotion for one of our clients with an embedded flash game, high scorers being eligible to win a Droid Tablet PC! Sweet right? You might as well click here to play…
We don’t usually need to resort to these types of promotions to grow our client pages, but this one has been the hardest to get Facebookers to ‘like’. Fan total is now up 25%, but it still doesn’t seem like it has caught fire. What we’re finding is that some pages need to focus on quality of the fans and not quantity, it’s hard to not resort to gimmicky promotions but to stick to maintaining your page as an online platform through which you are engaging with and staying true to your ‘real-life’ fans. The most important thing is that you don’t let them down!
