What’s your fan building promotion of choice? A lot of pages never have to resort to such tactics, but a few others have no choice. If your business page has had all the love and attention it could ever wish for, and it is STILL not growing, maybe you need to look at one of these options.

A Welcome/Reveal Tab is a good first step. Don’t let potential fans lurk on and off of your page, make them ‘like’ your page to reveal special offers to loyal FB fans! This is an example we did for a local car dealership:

 Some other simple tricks: Fan threshold giveaways – About to reach 500 fans? Give them incentive to share the page with friends by offering a gift certificate to your store when you reach your fan goal. It doesn’t have to be much, remember it’s the thought that counts.

Sweepstakes are a more complex version of a simple giveaway, and you will probably need help from a 3rd party. Effective tools include: fun and addicting flash games, fan submission contests, and other creative apps. Check out Buffalo Wild Wings, with a following of almost 5 million strong, they are doing something right! (besides boneless wings)
