First off, the tragic story of this little girl is nothing to laugh at, but we don’t deal with tragedy well – and we are trying to lighten the mood on such a dark situation.
We wouldn’t be talking about this trial at all if it weren’t for the role social media has played in it. It was surprising to us how this verdict caused such outrage online. The 24 hour media channels have the horrible talent of taking a story and growing it into a monster – and this is the best example as of late. Unless you were on the jury you have no right to convict anyone of murder, and no one in their right mind should want to be on a jury in a situation like that. Let’s not forget for every Caylee Anthony there are thousands of other abused and exploited children all over the country. It is those children that can still be saved that need our attention before it is too late.
Anyway, let’s lighten the mood already…
