Major online news sites Huffington Post and TMZ are reporting Singer/Actress Whitney Houston dead at age 48. Houston reportedly struggled with addiction problems in recent years, although her passing is still a shock to many. The singer was looking to make a comeback later this year with a starring role in a remake of the film Sparkle.
The cause of death is currently unknown – and no further details are being released.
